That’s 3 Twitter Awards now and counting!
So far, I’ve won the
- #wow (Women On Wednesday) Award from @Jacqueline_Gold (owner of Ann Summers), and
- #sbs (Small Business Sunday) Award from @TheoPaphitis (from Dragons’s Den).
This time’s the Business Award has come from @LookWeCan – a business support and networking group with 15,000+ followers!
@LookWeCan run a competition each week, encouraging local businesses to tweet them (see that pic on the right – that’s my winning tweet right there!) and use the hashtag #LookWeCan.
To say I’m excited about being selected as this week’s winner is a slight understatement!
I run a small business myself as you know, and love to support and network with other sole traders, locally and nationally too to help spread the word about their business, services and products.
I do have support staff to help me with bits and pieces here and there behind the scenes (thank you team!), but running a predominantly service-based business like fitness and Pilates classes, I am the face of my company and people buy from me and my awesome personality obviously. I’m kidding!
The #LookWeCan Business Award is especially significant here because it’s a LOCAL Award, for businesses based specifically in the East Midlands.
If you run a small business yourself, I would encourage you to be more active on Twitter. It’s one of the most under-used networking tools in my professional opinion.
If you have no idea what you’re doing, don’t get on with it, or don’t understand it, follow me and I’ll show you how it’s done.
Tweet me on Twitter to ask me a question, interact with me and say hi!
Bye for now.
